On November 3rd, Fidelity announced its launching of Fidelity crypto, a cryptocurrency investment service for individual customers. Fidelity investors can now trade Bitcoin and Ethereum through crypto with zero commission.
MAS, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, announced their compilation of the first phase of Project Orchid for CBDC wholesale. Project Orchid is a CBDC exploring project announced last year by MAS, exploring systems and related techniques of CBDC through several phases and investigating the potential use cases of CBDC. MAS says, “MAS’ vision is to build an innovative and responsible digital asset ecosystem in Singapore. We have collaborated with the cryptocurrency industry and issued licenses to big firms such as Coinbase and Blockchain.com.”
