  • The chairman of the CFTC said he would set an official case or precedent for cryptocurrency regulations this year. He exaggerated the point that regulations are necessary to prepare for unpredictable situations in the financial market, and so he will try to create enforcement cases related to fraud or illegal digital assets and present them to the public.
  • BIS highlighted that they will develop a monitoring system designed for stablecoins. BIS expanded that the majority of central banks currently do not have a system to systematically monitor stablecoins, and so its research and development arm is on track to launch a new project to monitor stablecoins.
  • In a video introducing Google’s AI chatbot “Bard,” there was a scene that showed a chatbot giving an inaccurate answer to a question about the “James Web Space Telescope.” In response to that, a Google spokesman said, “Bard will try its innovation to release a high-quality, safe, and information-based response, and they are on track to introduce Bard into its search service.”
